I’m in the process of changing web hosts yet again. This site has been in perpetual limbo and it’s time to get things rolling. Since this site will likely never see much traffic, my general goal is to get decent performance at a reasonable price point. As nice as VPS plans are, I can’t justify the cost.
Most recently I’ve migrated from Dream Host to Digital Ocean. There’s been a learning curve, a lot can be said for automated/simplified setups, but the amount of control I get with Digital Ocean at my current price point is amazing.
Rather than creating/managing (and paying for) two separate sites (nickalpin.com and alpinknives.com), I’m going to configure a DNS redirect and host everything on this site.
